"Eyes on de Prize"

Listen to our new single, "Eyes on de Prize," released in celebration of Black History Month! Our cover of the classic folk song from the Civil Rights era embodies the importance of knowing one's history and the power of singing together in courage. The song was arranged by Lonnie Norwood, Jr., Director of Africana Studies and features vocals from Uniting Voices faculty and Voice of Chicago, with soloist Norwood.

Long Way Home

Long Way Home, first full-length album is a modern day retelling of Homer's ancient classic, a love letter to the City of Broad Shoulders and its wide-ranging influence on the sounds of music around the globe.

We All Live Here

We All Live Here is an art project started in Chicago as a response to the city’s violent reputation, using art, community and technology to remind everyone to help each other succeed while collaborating with artists and groups to spread this positive message—Uniting Voices Chicago's core mission.

Holiday Harmony

Performed by the internationally-acclaimed, Emmy Award-winning Concert Choir, Holiday Harmony's selections feature Christmas, Chanukah and seasonal music in the range of genres for which the Choir is renowned. Highlights include arrangements, several new, of popular favorites such as "Winter Wonderland", "Let it Snow", "Jerusalem of Gold", "Cool Yule" and "The Christmas Song", classics such as "Silent Night", "S'vivon" and Vivaldi's Gloria, and the popular spiritual "Go Tell it on the Mountain".

2008

Songs on the Road to Freedom

Songs on the Road to Freedom was created for Uniting Voices Chicago (formerly Chicago Children's Choir)'s 50th anniversary and honors the Civil Rights Movement. This album features the anti-apartheid music of South Africa including "We Need A World" composed by a 16-year-old CCC singer. Both songs reflect our country's past and hope for the future.

Sita Ram

Sita Ram was inspired by the 24,000 verse, 2,000 year old Sanskrit Ramayana of Sage Valmiki, and the 16th century Old Hindi Ramcaritmanasa of Tulsidas. This modern interpretation of the ancient Hindu epic fuses the past, present and future in a fantastical world of song, dance, fashion and design.

Open Up Your Heart

Open Up Your Heart includes South African folk songs, and songs from Macedonia and Bulgaria. This album is a reflection of what CCC is all about, bringing children together from diverse racial, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds; celebrating these diversities while setting a standard for the achievement of youth, both socially and musically.
