Sto Mi E Milo

Trad. Macedonian; arr. Daniel Hughes

Sto mi e milo, milo i drago

Vo struga grada, mamo, duk’an da imam

Lele varai, mome, mome Kalino

Vo struga grada, mamo, duk’an da imam

Koga na voda, voda mi odat

So tija stomni mamo, stomni sareni

Lele varai, mome, mome Kalino,

So tija stomni, mamo, stomni sareni

Sto mi e milo, milo i drago

Vo struga grada, mamo, duk’an da imam

Lele varai, mome, mome Kalino

Vo struga grada, mamo, duk’an da imam

Sto Mi E Milo

Trad. Macedonian; arr. Daniel Hughes

How I would like to have a shop

In the town of Struga

Hurry, young Kalino

To sit by the door

And watch the young girls of Struga go by

Hurry, young Kalino

As they fetch the water

With their brightly colored jugs

Hurry, young Kalino

And meet with their friends at the well

Hurry, young Kalino

Sä Skimrande

Trad. Swedish; arr. Anders Edenroth

Så skimrande var aldrig havet

och stranden aldrig så befriande,

fälten, ängarna och träden, aldrig så vackra

och blommorna aldrig så ljuvligt doftande

som när du gick vid min sida

mot solnedgången, aftonen den underbara,

då dina lockar dolde mig för världen,

medan du dränkte alla mina sorger,

älskling, i din första kyss.

Sä Skimrande

Trad. Swedish; arr. Anders Edenroth

The ocean was never so shimmering

and the beach never so freeing

the fields, meadows, and trees never so beautiful

and the flowers never so delightfully fragrant

as when you walked by my side

towards the sunset, on that evening that wonderful one

when your curls hid me from the world

while you drowned all my sorrows

darling, with your first kiss
