Managing Director, Good Chaos
Himal serves as Managing Director and CFO for Good Chaos, a Chicago-based family office. Good Chaos focuses on funding organizations, projects, and companies that are mission-aligned via impact investments, philanthropic grants, and narrative change strategies. The organization is an affiliate of Builders Vision and manages over $1 billion of capital.
Prior to Good Chaos, Himal served as CFO of two Chicago based organizations: (i) Terraboost Media, a private equity owned advertising company, and (ii) Braviant, a $100M fintech company. Prior to serving as a CFO, Himal completed more than 50 debt, equity, and M&A transactions over ten years in both private equity and investment banking. He served as the Senior Vice President of Private Equity and as an investment committee member at New Island Capital, an impact investment firm in San Francisco with $1.5 billion under management. Previously, he worked for leading investment banking firms Credit Suisse, William Blair, and Livingstone Partners. Himal also serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Millennium Bank, an Illinois-based community bank with over $500 million in assets. He received his B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
