“This choir is like a family to me. We sing together in harmony, we learn from each other, we make mistakes, and we even show our leadership with the solos we do. I’m going to stay with this choir until I’m too old to sing.”
Mamtamtambe A. Singer, Englewood Neighborhood Choir
Get Amp'd! Our Neighborhood Choir Program is a performance-based, choral music education program for students in the third grade and up. We offer sliding-scale tuition, so no family is turned away for financial reasons. Singers build connections with youth across their community, the city and around the world.
The Neighborhood Choir Program experience:
We offer the Neighborhood Choir Program at 12 sites around the city. We encourage families to choose the site that works best for their schedule and needs. You do not have to live in the neighborhood to participate in that ensemble, and many of our singers come from other communities and neighborhoods around Chicagoland.

Prelude is currently available at two of our neighborhood sites, Hyde Park and Lincoln Park/DePaul. We encourage families to choose the site that works best for their schedule and needs. You do not have to live in the neighborhood to participate in that ensemble, and many of our singers come from other communities and neighborhoods around Chicagoland.
