Vivir Mi Vida

Khaled Ibrahim, Nadir Khayat, Bilal Jahhi, Alex P, Björn Djupström & AJ Junior; lyrics by Marc Anthony; arr. Heather Stewart

Coro:
Voy a reír, voy a bailar,
Vivir mi vida, la la la la.
Voy a reír, voy a gozar,
Vivir mi vida, la la la la.

Solo 1:
A veces llega la lluvia
Para limpiar las heridas.
A veces solo una gota
Puede vencer la sequía.

Y para qué llorar, ¿pa’ qué?
Si duele una pena, se olvida,
Y para qué sufrir, ¿pa’ qué?
Si así es la vida, hay que vivirla, la la lé.

Solo 2:
Voy a vivir el momento
Para entender el destino.
Voy a escuchar en silencio
Para encontrar el camino.

Y para qué llorar, ¿pa’ qué?
Si duele una pena, se olvida,
Y para qué sufrir, ¿pa’ qué?
Si así es la vida, hay que vivirla, la la lé.

PILSEN/LITTLE VILLAGE VIVACE/ PRESTO & OFF THE STREET CLUB

Vivir Mi Vida

Khaled Ibrahim, Nadir Khayat, Bilal Jahhi, Alex P, Björn Djupström & AJ Junior; lyrics by Marc Anthony; arr. Heather Stewart

Chorus:
I will laugh, I will dance,
Living my life, la la la la.
I will laugh, I will rejoice,
Living my life, la la la la.

Solo 1:
Sometimes the rain comes
To clean wounds.
Sometimes only a single drop
Can defeat the drought.

And why cry, why?
If an embarrassment hurts, you can forget it,
And why suffer, why?
For life is like that, you need to live it, la la lé.

Solo 2:
I will live the moment
To understand destiny.
I will listen in silence
To find the way.

And why cry, why?
If an embarrassment hurts, you can forget it,
And why suffer, why?
For life is like that, you need to live it, la la lé.

John Rosamond Johnson & James Weldon Johnson; arr. Farlanda Buchannon & Tyler Henderson

Lift ev’ry voice and sing, til earth and heaven ring.

Let it resound loud as the rolling sea.

Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us.

Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us!

Facing the rising sun of our new day begun,

Let us march on ‘til victory is won!

So lift ev’ry voice (Lift ev’ry voice).

Seize the Day (From Newsies)
Alan Menken; lyrics by Jack Feldman; arr. Mac Huff; choreography by Gavin Harper

Now is the time to seize the day.

Stare down the odds and seize the day.

Minute by minute, that's how you win it.

We will find a way. But let us seize the day!

Now is the time to seize the day! (Now is the time to seize the day!)

Answer the call and don't delay. (Answer the call and don't delay.)

Wrongs will be righted if we're united.

Let us seize the day!

Now let 'em hear it loud and clear! (Now let 'em hear it loud and clear!)

Like it or not, we're drawing near. (Like it or not, we're drawing near.)

Proud and defiant, we'll slay the giant.

Judgement day is here!

Houston to Harlem, look what's begun!

One for all and all for one!

Strike! Strike!

Strike! Strike! Strike! Strike!

Strike! Strike! Strike! Strike!

Ohhhhhh

Now is the time to seize the day! (Now is the time to seize the day!)

Answer the call and don't delay. (Answer the call and don't delay.)

Nothing can break us, no one can make us quit before we're done.

One for all and all for, One for all and all for,

One for all and all _____ FOR ONE!

Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)

Duke Ellington; arr. Sarah Zegree

Don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing

Do wah x8

It don’t mean a thing all you gotta do is swing

Do wah x8

Makes no difference if its sweet or hot

Just give that rhythm everything you’ve got

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing

Do wahx8

Do wah x8

It makes no difference if its sweet or hot

Just give that rhythm everything you’ve got

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing

Do wah x4

Oye!

Jim Papoulis

VERSE 1

Está solo, llorando

En silencio, en la oscuridad

Está soñando, deseando

Con esperanza, por la oportunidad

Escúchalos, escúchalos, ellos te llaman

CHORUS

Oye! Are you listening?

Oye! Can you hear them calling?

We are calling to you.

Oye! Are you listening?

Oye! Can you hear them calling?

Can you hear us?

VERSE 2

Escúchalos, míralos

Escucha lo que tratan de decir

Están en búsqueda del camino

Pequeñas voces llamándote

Escúchalos, escúchalos, ellos te llaman

CHORUS

Oye! Are you listening?

Oye! Can you hear them calling?

We are calling to you.

Oye! Are you listening?

Oye! Can you hear them calling?

Can you hear us?

Translation:

Listen

All alone, in the darkness

They are crying out for your help

They are hoping, they are dreaming

They are asking for a chance to be heard

Are you listening, can you hear their cries

They are watching, they are listening

They are searching to find their way

Can you see them, can you hear them calling

What their voices are trying to say

Six (From Six: The Musical)

Toby Marlow & Lucy Moss; arr. Joe Beighton & Tom Curran

All:

We’re one of a kind, no category

Too many years, lost in his story

We’re free to take our crowning glory

For Five more minutes

[Catherine Of Aragon:]

He got down on one knee

But I said "No way!"

Packed my bags

And moved into a

Nu-nu-nunnery!

Joined the gospel choir

Our riffs were on fire

At the top of the charts

Is where I'm gonna stay

[Anne Boleyn:]

Henry sent me a poem

All about my green sleeves

I changed a couple words

Put it on a sick beat

The song blew their minds

Next minute I was signed

And now I'm writing lyrics

For Shakesy P

[Jane Seymour:]

Since my first son

Our family's grown

We made a band

And got quite well known

You could perhaps call us

The Tudor Von Trapps

I'm just kidding

We're called the

Royalling Stones

[All:]

We're one of a kind

No category

Too many years

Lost in history

We're free to take

Our crowning glory

For five more minutes

We're SIX!

[Anne Of Cleves:]

What a shame

Yeah, my face

It cost me the crown

So I moved to the

Haus Of Holbein!

In my hometown

His mates were super arty

But I showed them how to party

Now on my tour of Prussia

Everybody "Gets down"

[Katherine Howard:]

Music man tried it on

And I was like "Bye!"

So I thought "Who needs him?

I can give it a try"

I learned everything

Now all I do is sing

And I'll do that until I die

[Catherine Parr:]

Heard all about these rockin' chicks

Loved every song

And each remix

So I went out and found them

And we laid down an album

Now "I don't need your love"

All I need is SIX!

[All:]

We're one of a kind

No category

Too many years

Lost in his story

We're free to take

Our crowning glory

For five more minutes

We're SIX!

Woah, woah

We're SIX!

Woooah, we're SIX

Woah, woah

For five more minutes

It's the end of the show

Of the historemix

We switched up the flow

And we changed the prefix

Everybody knows

That we used to be six wives

But we want to say

Before we drop the curtain

Nothing is for sure

Nothing is for certain

All that we know is that

We used to be six wives

But now we're one of a kind

No category

Too many years

Lost in history

We're free to take

Our crowning glory

For five more minutes...

We're one of a kind

No category

Too many years

Lost in history

We're free to take

Our crowning glory

For five more minutes

We're SIX!

Woah, woah

We're SIX!

Woooah, we're SIX

Woah, woah

For five, four, three

Two, one more minute

Dreaming

T-Pain; arr. Elinor Keener

OFF THE STREET CLUB

Blessings
Byron Cage, Chancelor J. Bennett, Fred Hammond, Jamila Woods, Nate Fox, Nico Segal, Peter Wilkins; arr. Heather Stewart; poetry by Taron Henderson & Daniel Vaughn

Melody:

Are you readeh for your blessings, are you readeh for your miracle?

Taron Verse

I woke up feeling grateful, sun shining on my face,

Counting all the blessings, I’m trying to find my place

Family round the table, laughter fills the air,

Every little moment, man, I stop and just stare.

Life’s a journey, moving at a steady pace,

Through the ups and downs, I’m just trying to embrace,

Got my faith on my sleeve and love in my heart,

Every step I take, man, it’s just a work of art.

All

All these blessings fallin’ down like rain,

Got my eyes to the sky, wash away the pain,

Every day’s a gift, I’m just dancing in the light,

Grateful for each moment, I’m living it right.

Daniel verse

Friends by my side, we lift each other up higher

Building up our dreams, setting hearts on fire,

Through the struggles and the strife, we’ll never lose our way,

With my crew behind me, we can conquer any day.

Looking to the future, with hope in my view,

Knowing that the journey’s just as real as the crew,

Saying thank you to the stars, for the paths that we take,

Through the twists and turns, it’s the love that we make.

All these blessings fallin’ down like rain,

Got my eyes to the sky to wash away the pain,

Every day’s a gift, I’m just dancing in the light,

Grateful for each moment, I’m living it right.

So I raise my hands high,

Life’s a canvas, I’m just painting with my soul,

With a heart full of love and a mind set to grow,

Every setback, every test, it just helps me glow.

So here’s to the nights we won’t forget,

To the dreams we chase, no need for no regret,

Living out these blessings, I know what I’m worth,

With every single moment, I’m just thankful for this earth.

Still Here

W. Mitchell Owens III

Verse 1

I’ve been up and I’ve been down.

When there was no one around.

I had to look inside myself to find another route.

Even when the skies look gray, I will always find my way.

The truth will set us free, in spite of what we see.

PreChorus

There is no valley that we can’t cross.

I’ve been through the desert, I’ve walked through the fire.

Love is the strongest of all.

Chorus

That’s why we are still here, we are still strong.

Sending our message, to every home.

And yes, we have the faith.

Even if mountains, crumble today, we will still be here.

Verse 2

We have made it through the years, with our voices loud and clear.

It’s hard to find another place where we’re all hand in hand.

Just keep both feet on the ground.

Don’t you let them tear you down.

Wash away the tears you’ve cried, and push your fears aside.

PreChorus

There is no valley that we can’t cross.

I’ve been through the desert, I’ve walked through the fire.

Love is the strongest of all.

Chorus

That’s why we are still here, we are still strong.

Sending our message, to every home.

And yes, we have the faith.

Even if mountains, crumble today,

Bridge

We are here, to pave the way.

We are here, to open our hearts.

We are here to seize a new day, seize a new day, seize a new day

Chorus

That’s why we are still here, we are still strong.

Sending our message, to every home.

And yes, we have the faith.

Even if mountains, crumble today, fall today,

We will still be here!
