About Uniting Voices & Canto Latino
Founded in 1956 at the dawn of the Civil Rights Movement, Uniting Voices Chicago empowers and unites youth from diverse backgrounds to find their voice and celebrate their common humanity through the power of music. Canto Latino is a biennial festival that brings together youth across Uniting Voices programs and the Chicago community for a celebration of the city's proud Latin American heritage through song, story and dance.
