Director
Courtney Ofosu serves as Associate General Counsel, North America Labor & Employment for The Kraft Heinz Company. In this role, she leads labor, employment, and benefits legal strategy across the company’s largest zone, advising senior business and human resources leaders on complex workforce matters. Courtney oversees employment litigation strategy and provides strategic counsel on executive employment issues, restrictive covenant enforcement, workforce transformation, employee relations, labor relations, and health and welfare benefit plans.
Prior to joining Kraft Heinz, Courtney practiced labor and employment law at a leading international law firm, where she represented global and multinational employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. Her experience spans a broad range of employment matters, including wage and hour class and collective actions, discrimination and retaliation claims, whistleblower matters, restrictive covenant disputes, and ERISA-related litigation. She advised clients across diverse industries, including healthcare, aviation, financial services, manufacturing, and consumer products.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Courtney is committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of legal professionals. She serves as a mentor to law students through the Association of Corporate Counsel and is an active alumna of the University of Illinois College of Law. Courtney is also a frequent speaker and panelist on topics related to labor and employment law, leadership, and career development. Courtney earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law and her Bachelor’s degree from Marquette University.
She resides in the Chicago area with her husband, daughter, son and Goldendoodle.
